Small crew working only to remove the layer f195 and expose the glacis, f196. This was a success and excavations ended at 1pm. k 103 dy we excavated about one meter to the west of yesterday's excavation and exposed the glacis in beautiful condition. f195 was clearly resting on this feature. We ceased excavations after exposing what was there. Since f195 was identified by mKB as h1-JPA, we know for certain that f72, a3 is a h1-JPA wall. We have moved into what was part of k111 but are using the identifier k103. The original k103 also went further to the west. f 72 ds this wall, also named a3 in MZ16, is only three meters high. We conclude from this that because it is not very high, it is a retaining wall for the temple terrace. Bottome elevation is 8675.
