-wk All workmen assigned reported.  Mahmood detailed to work in the house and was replaced by Lezkane.  Ghandi returned from working in the house.  The crew working in k23 and k22 was detailed to k109 for two hours while the east baulk of k23 and k22 was being drawn and photographed.  Muhammad Kher requested to be re-assigned.  Discussed the matter with jO who will talk further with fAB and gB.

-sf eDB worked in the house most of the day correcting relays and plots.  rE worked in the house for two hours after breakfast preparing the journal.

-sn iI and aA drew the combined east section of k23 and the north half of k22 with a string elevation of .

dy After drawing and photographing the north part of the east baulk, we began to remove it.

k 23
dy Finished excavating a wedge-shaped section of accumulation, f150, in the southwest corner which covers packing, f152, which extend through the entire locus.  It appears that what we call a floor surface, f173, in k22, either abuts the mud packing or is a continuation of it to the south.  Adding to the possibilities, today we discovered a packed mud surface in k109, immediately to the southwest.  Tomorrow we will compare and analyze all three features.  After photographing and drawing, we began to remove the east baulk.
sg We will excavate carefully the baulk in order to trace the transition from the baqaya surface
