description (summary) | 2006-8-15 | rE | It is a dense and very hard material, it is sloping down, it rings with a lightly scrub | [Input File: Q815rE.J] |
2006-10-09 | jW | One of the components of the first rebuild of the lower part of the BA temple mound and wall system after the wall was completely covered. It was the transitional element between f148 to the south, a flat surface that served as a floor, and a packed mud glacis, f152, to the north which eventually merged with the original baqaya glacis, f109. Its hard surface may be explained by a mixture of mud and baqaya to change the direction of water flow from the mound to the now-covered plaza. | [Input File: Qx09jW.j] | |

notes on recovery | 2006-9-10 | jW | Part of this packed mud surface running E-W in the vicinity of the juncture of the late packed earth floor f173, and the packed mud glacis f152, was damaged. At this point the downward slope to the south transitions to a flat surface. The damage may have been associated with the construction of this floor or we possibly accidentally damaged f123 during excavation, despite exercising great care. | [Input File: Q910jW1.j] |
