This photograph is a general view of the north section of k106 before substantial excavations had occurred there. In the section one can see the topsoil, f536, the first natural accumulation underneath, f537, the soft accumulation f541 in the north part and the harder accumulation f542, to the south. When accumlation f542 was found to extend throughout the square it was redesignated as f552. Also visible in the foreground are a large limestone block, f554, and a collection of smaller blocks in a soil matrix, f555. |
