Description of view 2006-8-21vE This progress photo for the excavations in k2 shows the second apron, f532, as it is being uncovered by removing accumulation, f557. The apron slopes down from north to south, so the most recently exposed stones are on the left side of the photograph. Also shown here are the various accumulations and top soils which covered the apron, including f515, f516, f518, f522, and f533. To the right is the accumulation that forms the bottom of the German trench, f535. Along the south baulk are two large limestone blocks, f543 and f551 whose source and function had not yet been determined.
