lC and mS discussed the relationship of the layers f196, f238, f240 and f239. f196 is considered the original escarpment because the material recovered has been Chalcolithic. f240 and f238, perhaps the same feature, are probably a later rebuilding of strengthening of the escarpment as they continue the slope. f189 which was excavated in MZ18 may also be part of a later rebuilding of the escarpment, and may be related to f239. v115 shows this well.
