Began to remove the east baulks of k15 and k25. Later in the day, focused on k25 to avoid conflicts with ongoing excavation in k14, which shares the same baulk as k15. Completed wheelbarrow ramp constructed from the E baulk of k25, shared with k15 to the north. k 5 dy Finished excavating the reddish accumulation, f252, and began to excavate the brownish accumulation, f252, below it. k 14 dy Finished following the stone and sherd floor, f253, in all parts of the locus except for the pit cut, f214 in the NW corner, and the pile of reddish accumulation in the SW corner, f245. sg Tomorrow we will determine whether the floor, f253, continues under the accumulation, f245, or merely abuts it. k 23 dy Continued to excavate and level the entire locus. At the start of the day we could differentiate a reddish layer in the SE corner from a water-influenced brown accumulation in the rest of the locus. At the end of the day, all quadrants seemed uniform in color and texture, so we assigned a new feature to this accumulation, f255. The elevation was measured as 8113cm, equivalent to that of the floor, f253, in k14 diretly to the NW whose elevation is 8109cm. A number of loose stones and pebbles were removed from this accumulation. f 252 ds ac tc co f256 P1 O714 f 254 df aa ds Floor accumulation over stone and sherd floor, f253, in k14. ns Candidate for pottery analysis to tell us what functions were carried out on the underlying floor, f253.
